Constance Town Museum

Rosgartenmuseum

The collections of the museum in the heart of the Old Town give visitors an insight into the rich early history and pre-historic eras of the Lake Constance region. The museum also focuses on the middle ages, when the globally significant Council of Constance was held in the town in the 15th century. The museum also hosts interesting special exhibitions, for example in 2008 there was an exhibition about Napoleon III, who spent his childhood in the region.
The museum is housed in the former Butchers' Guild House and offers visitors the chance to experience the Old Town of Constance in a wonderful atmosphere.
