Napoleon-Museum, Salenstein

Napoleon-Museum Salenstein

Between 1817 and1838 this was the main domicile of the French Emperor Napoleon II and his mother Hortense. There is a wonderful museum here with original furniture from the time of the First and Second Empire and exhibitions change often. The castle is surrounded by a large park with an excellent vie over the Lower Lake. The agricultural section o the park can also be visited with its vineyards, cattle farm and garden and restaurant.
