Pfänder Railway Bregenz
Pfänderbahn
The Pfänder Mountain (1064m) has a unique view over Lake Constance and 240 Alpen peaks and is the most famous viewing point in the region.
Whether you discover the attractions of the Alpen Wildlife Park, visit the Birds of Prey Show, hike, cycle or simply enjoy the view from the terrace of the restaurant, your day on Pfänder will be an unforgettable experience! A well signposted network of routes along the mountain offer the possibility of some nice walks or some challenging hikes:
Hike to the Valley (ca. 1hour),
3 one thousand metre peaks – mountain hike from Pfänder (1064m) over the "Hochberg" (1069) to "Hirschberg" (1095) (ca. 5hours),
High-level hiking route to Scheidegg (ca.3 ½ hours).
Charming natural routes offer the chance to cycle in the area. You can obtain a cycle guide with 10 tours at the ticket office.
In the Pfänderbahn-Museum (Railway Museum) the history of the Pfänder railway from the beginnings to the present are documented.
